Objective | Each student will be able to correctly identify the anatomical positions of the bodies cavities, the organs contained in each cavity, and the major organ systems on a picture of each specific. The students will also be able to correctly explain the the role/function each play in the body. Every student should be able to complete both tasks with 80% or higher accuracy on the three quizzes. |
Learning Environment | The students will be in a typical science orientated high school classroom. The classroom will be equipped with a projection screen, so the teacher can present the pictures they have saved into Evernote. All students will participate in this lesson at their own desk by taking notes on the information that is being presented. |
Description of Students | The students participating in this lesson will be in grades 11th or 12th. Each students should generally be between sixteen years to eighteen years old and enrolled in an Anatomy and Physiology class. |

Application | Each student will be given three separate handouts regarding the locations and functions of body cavities, the organs contained in each cavity, and the major organ systems. Each student will be required to take notes and complete each handout throughout the discussions over the three topics. |
Evaluation | Each student will need to turn in their completed handouts at the end of section before the quiz. The students will receive participation points for accurately and fully completing the handouts. At the end of each section the students will be given a quiz on the section that was previously covered. Each quiz will contain the pictures that were presented in Evernote and discussed in class. Each student will be required to individually and correctly label the pictures on the quiz, as well as give a brief description of what they labeled. Each student should pass each of the three quizzes with 80% accuracy or above. |
