With Remote Play, you can control your PlayStation® console remotely wherever you have a high-speed internet connection.
Using the [PS Remote Play] app, you can control your PlayStation®5 console or PlayStation®4 console from a device in a different location.
For example, you can use a computer in another room or a smartphone^* when you’re out to enjoy PS5™ and PS4™ games.

*: You can’t use Remote Play on your mobile device’s cellular data network. A high-speed Wi-Fi® network is required.

If your PS4 contains accounts A, B, and C (A being the PS4 Owner), your PS Vita must either have account A, B or C, and will only be usable for that very same account; so you can't play as A over your Vita, if your Vita has B. As for the technology the PS Vita uses to pair with the PS4, it's WiFi. The PS4 even has an option to 'connect directly. If you want to connect your Vita to a different PS4, you can do this by loading up the PS4 Link Application and tapping the ‘.’ icon in the bottom right corner of the handheld’s screen. I actually thought that you could directly connect the Vita to the PS4 and remote play that way, because when I tried remote play it told me that there was another 'experimental feature' I think is what it was or maybe I'm just imagining that and its just that Direct WIFI thing that people say. But as a person who is not only a PlayStation Vita apologist, but also used Remote Play to experience a non-insignificant amount of PS4 games on the handheld device, I was curious as to whether or not I’d be able to do the same for my PlayStation 5 for the next seven or eight years, and it looks like that might not be the case this time.

How To Connect Your Ps4

Some games do not support Remote Play.
Games that require peripherals such as PlayStation®VR or PlayStation®Camera aren’t compatible with Remote Play.
You can’t use Remote Play on your PS5 console or PS4 console in the following situations:
- When you’re using Share Screen or Share Play, or broadcasting your gameplay
- When users are using Remote Play, Share Play, or Share Screen, or broadcasting their gameplay
- When you’re playing a Blu-ray Disc™ or DVD
- When you’re using PS VR in VR mode
The following restrictions apply when using Remote Play:
- You can’t use Share Screen or Share Play, or broadcast your gameplay.
- You can’t play a Blu-ray Disc™ or DVD.
- You can’t play music with Spotify®.
- Some or all video content might not be displayed on your device depending on the game or video service.
