This document outlines the process to install the Citrix Workspace App for a Mac computer. The Citrix Workspace app runs the Virtual Applications & Desktops and must be installed on your computer for them to work.
Safari is the best way to experience the internet on all your Apple devices. It brings robust customization options, powerful privacy protections, and industry-leading battery life —. I spent some time investigating this. I think this is a bug in Safari, but I think we can work around it. We use local storage events to communicate between browser tabs in order to see if there are any other tabs with a particular workspace name. A Workspace is the primary organizational unit in Verifyle. Think of is as a container that holds Guests, Threads and Documents where you, the Host of the Workspace, control exactly which Messages and Documents all of your Guests can see.
1. Open up your internet browser of choice (we suggest google chrome or safari)
2. Navigate to: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/mac/workspace-app-for-mac-latest.html
3. Click the button labeled 'Download Citrix Workspace app for Mac' to download the installer file.
4. Save the file to your downloads folder (safari does this by default).
5. Navigate to your 'Downloads' folder and double click the CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg file
6. Double click the 'Install Citrix Workspace' button.
7. Select continue on the 'This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed' prompt.
8. Click the 'Continue' button on the Welcome to the Citrix Workspace Installer window
9. Click the 'Continue' button on the Welcome to the Software License Agreement window
10. Click the 'Agree' button to agree to the terms of the software license agreement
11. Click the 'Install' button to install to the default location.
12. Type in your Mac Username and Password (not Apple ID username/password) and then click the 'Install Software' button.
13. Leave the check box 'Add Account' unchecked and click the 'Continue' button.
15. Click the 'Move to Trash' button (this will delete the download files to save hard drive space)
16. Citrix Workspace App is now installed on your Mac and is ready to be used

Citrix Workspace App Launcher is not able to launch applications automatically with Safari browser version 12. Citrix Workspace App launcher is not able to trigger the application launch on the Safari 12 browser. This issue is happening after the upgrade of Safari 12.

Solution
Perform the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Clean Uninstall the Citrix Workspace App using the Uninstall option inside the downloaded .dmg file.
2. Reboot the client machine.
3. Install the Citrix Workspace App for Mac

Problem Cause
Upgrade from previous version of Receiver for Mac to Citrix Workspace App for Mac seems incompatible with Safari 12, when NPAPI support is removed from Safari 12
